Housing
The high-quality aluminum housing is milled from the solid and its surface is anodized black. The electronics are completely encapsulated in the housing and thus protected against weather, water, dust and vibration.
Display and functions
The innovative dot matrix of 251 ultra-bright LEDs displays the speed by means of a scalable, horizontal light band and all other other functions as a numerical value. The speed can be called up as a numerical value at the touch of a button. To achieve optimum readability in darkness, sunlight and twilight sun and twilight, the brightness of the LEDs is automatically adjusted. A speed value can be entered for the limit range of the permissible speed (‘red range’) or a speed value can be entered as a switching flash function. If this value is exceeded, all LEDs light up simultaneously in pulsating mode.
Special feature: the display of the motoscope mini can show the numerical values not only from left to right, but also from top to bottom. Therefore the instrument can also be mounted upright!
Operation
Use the menu button supplied or, for example, the button on the handlebars to switch between the displays. The standard indication on the display is the speed value. The other
measured values can be shown on the display by briefly pressing a button. on the display. Optionally, the display can be set to automatically return to the speed value after a short automatically returns to the speed value after a short time or that a specific specific display is permanently set. Default settings or stored values are of course saved even without a power supply.
Mounting
Thanks to its very small dimensions, the motoscope mini can be easily attached to almost any vehicle. Stand-alone on the fork bridge or on the handlebars, in existing instrument panels or recessed in the tank or GRP – the instrument can be integrated anywhere. We offer various suitable universal brackets for mounting as well as type-specific solutions.
Connection and sensors
The simple wiring makes it possible to connect the instrument even for users who have never dealt with vehicle electrics before. before.
The stainless steel speedometer sensor supplied is very small (M5/25 mm). With the 1.5 m long connection cable, it can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. Vehicles with an original mechanical speedometer drive can also be easily converted.
The motoscope mini is compatible with many original speedometer sensors (reed contact and proximity sensors) from vehicle manufacturers. In this case, only the connections are connected and the mechanical installation of a sensor becomes superfluous.
An intelligent ‘teach function’ makes it easy to calibrate the speedometer speedometer – even for vehicles with sensors on the gearbox.
