Hello, My name is Mike and I have been building custom motorcycles in Tampa, Florida since 2015. My passion first started with riding and fixing dirt bikes as a youngster. I have always been intrigued with taking things apart and putting them back together to figure out how everything works. As I got older, I was more interested in street bikes and I bought my first motorcycle a 2004 Suzuki GSXR 600. I did small modifications to make the bike more my style and that is how I got hooked on customizing motorcycles.
My grandfather and father both introduced me to mechanics and paint and body work at a very young age. I took that knowledge and continued to learn by working on car and motorcycle projects over the years. In 2015 I bought a 1983 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 for $500 that did not run and needed a ton of work. This was the first bike I stripped completely down to the frame and rebuilt back up. After having so much fun with that project I decided I wanted to rebuild and customize more bikes and that’s how Bay City Restorations was born.
After building my first two motorcycle builds on the Bay City Restorations Instagram page I decided to start a Youtube channel to document my builds for others to follow along. Much to my surprise the channel has really taken off and people from all over the world have watched and enjoyed the build videos! So now the goal is to continue to build bikes and grow the channel so that more people can learn to customize their own motorcycles.
I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with the JAX Garage team as an ambassador and look forward to using their custom machined parts on many of my future builds!
